I installed Trijicon's on my USPc , and XS big dots on my Kimber. For a carry piece, I'm now a fan of bigdots

I've used Trijicon, Meprolight, Novak and Heinie. All the same to me except Heinie's didn't have a white dot surrounding the tritium.

I have TruGlo TFO's on all of my Glocks and absolutely love them. :hand10:

I've never had a bad experience with Trijicons... been using them for many years! :yup:

The only gun I have with them is my Glock 22 and I went with the standard Glock Night Sights. I haven't been disappointed but I must admit that I have never had a reason to shoot in low light conditions so all my experience is turning off the lights and looking at them wishing my wife would let me go to the range.

I must say though that for a night/low light engagement I am a fan of using a laser. My CCW (though I can't carry while I am stationed in Hawaii...yea it's a drag but hey, it's Hawaii) is a Sig 220 carry and I have a Laser Max sight on it. I like it because it gives me the option to be able to index the weapon accurately in low light without bringing the weapon into my line of sight. Check with local laws before trying to install one though.

What's the best is in the eye of the beholder (to paraphrase)

IMO, TRU GLO TFO (tritium fiber optic) work very well for me. I have them installed on my P229.

I do have Trijicon night sights on my P226...and they are starting to go.

I am able to pick-up the TFOs quicker than the Trijicons.

I should add that I bought a new G23 in the past year and the new generation night sights from the factory are very nice.

I have recently purchased an XD 9 mm with Trijicon sites. I like them. I do not know about any other night sites but I do like the Trijicons.

I like Meprolight tritium sights. Trijicon makes a good product but I lean toward Mepros because they seem the brightest in my experience.

I have pistols with Trijis, Meps, and XSBD's.

I find I prefer the Trijicon 3-dot (gr/gr) to the other 3-dots; the dots seem a bit more distinct in the dark than the others.

And while I think the XS sights are great for quick sight acquisition, I find that I am not as accurate with them as I am with 3-dots, especially at longer ranges (20yds+). I believe the reason is because the lollypop/"dot-the-i" configuration isn't as condusive to accuracy, and that the big dot covers up a LOT of target at anything but very short ranges. Also, I will admit that I am a lot more used to shooting 3-dot, or patridge-type sights at longer ranges...so it could be a user issue.:bier:

So, my recommendation is...if you want 3-dot, go with Trijicons.
